Production of export pallets with wild banana fibre

The Yellow Pallet company will work with a group of small-scale producers to produce wild bananas (Musa balbisiana) and process their stems into fibre with the aim of making them the raw material for the production of export pallets.

This project contributes to the conservation of biodiversity by

• Training producers in good agricultural practices.
• Avoid deforestation for timber production.
• Reduce CO2 emissions.
• Provide a biodegradable product in the short term.
