Production of worm humus

AZUABANA will collaborate with the Cooperative of Small Organic Banana Producers (COOPROBATA) to produce natural fertiliser from organic waste decomposed by earthworms to improve the soil structure and fertility of their banana plantations.

For the production of humus, they will breed the California Red Worm, which eats its weight in soil. In doing so, they stir, aerate and mix the soil and transform it into fertiliser by passing it through their body.
